How to make BeagleBone-DVID Cape Functional in SYSbios

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hi all

I purchased a BeagleBone based board and DVI-D Cape Rev A3  and started running  SYSBIOS on it ..and succeeded running Hello World. And i am searching for a driver to make my DVID Cape functional on SYSBIOS.

Some People referred me IA-SDK might have some code for DVI-D Cape..but after installing IA-SDK ,i am confused which code  i have to use to make DVID Cape work.

Any help will be appreciated...!!

Regards

  • Ram,

please read the docs for IA-SDK again. We do only support ICE and IDK boards. They do not have any display capability. We took a copy of Starterware and modified it for ICE and IDK use. But we only tested drivers required for the IA-SDK purposes. Any changes done for IA-SDK to support our hardware and Sys/Bios do not flow back into Starterware release. As Starterware is not using an OS at all you can't be sure that Starterware code works under Sys/Bios. But you are better off using the 'normal' Starterware release as a start if you need display capability.

Sorry, I know this is a bit confusing. But that is the way it is at the moment.

    regards.
