Hello,
OMAP-L138 EMIFA controller executes Turnaround phase prior to the operation.

Try as I may I cannot figure what the rationale behind is, the more so that Technical Reference Manual combines TA (leading delay) with a R_HOLD (trailing delay) as shown below.

TRM page 830:
If more turnaround cycles are required than can be programmed into the TA field, additional cycles can be added to the R_HOLD field to compensate.

May I ask for clarification?

Hi Milan,

One scenario among others where this statement might be applicable is of a read followed by a write to async memory on the same CS. If the required turn around time is larger that what one can configure into the TA field, the read hold period can be increased to meet memory timing requirements.

OMAP-L138 executes Turnaround phase PRIOR to EMIFA transaction.
How can I apply proper Turnaround phase AFTER read from a slow peripheral not knowing which peripheral will be accessed next?
