Low Cost TI_DSP kit for Video Processing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6678

Hi All,

I am new to DSP stuff, it all started with an idea to use a Multi-Core TI-DSP board like DSPC-8681 from Advantech to accelerate H264 Video encoding. This card plugs in to a PCIe slot and the host PC can communicate with the board.

But the DSPC-8681 is a little expensive for experiments and proof of concepts and I don't really need that 10x performance for evaluation. So, I started looking for a low-cost (or a used) TI-DSP based board I can use to accelerate video encoding. A Mini PCIe card or a card with USB should be fine and should work in Linux.

Thanks for the help.
