decode and encode error

Hi, we use DM8168, RDK4.0.

If we firstly start two channel 1080P60 decode, it can normally running.

But if we start one channel 1080P60 encode again, the decode can not release the buffer, the hanle of getting ListMP is NULL.

what's wrong?

Pls attach the console logs, your usecase file where you connect and create links and the API sequence you are using when you face the issue.How are you starting the encode ?

we respectively encapsulate encode and decode to one API, and no notifymode = true.

Firstly call decode API, and then encode.

BTW, I have another problem, can you help me?

The function ListMP_getHead in IpcBitsOutLink_releaseBitBufs, what's the path? ti_tools/framework_components or ti_tools/ipc?

if I want to printf some imformation in ListMP_getHead, what the printf function I should use?

This issue is mostly because of wrong API sequence used in your application. Pls share the code of you encode and decode API implementation for me to review. Are you dynamically deleting and creating links when switching from encode to decode ?

ListMP_getHead (A8) on the Linux side is implemented in syslink\syslink_2_20_02_20\packages\ti\syslink\ipc\hlos\knl\ListMP.c

- You should use printk to add prints. You will have to recompile the syslink kernel module after making any change

ListMP_getHead (M3/c674 dsp) on the BIOS side is implemedted in ipc\ipc_1_24_03_32\packages\ti\sdo\ipc\ListMP.c

- You can use Vps_printf to add prints. You will have to recompile ipc package after making any change.

Hi, Badri.

We firstly start 2 channel decode.

DM8168 supports 3 channel 1080P60, right? so we secondly start 2 channel encode and disable the second encode channel.

But if we firstly start 2 channel encode, and then start 2 channel decode and disable the second decode channel, it's OK.

How are you enabling and disabling encode/decode channels. What System_linkControl command are you using ?

This condition indicates list is empty. This in itself is not an error condition It would be difficult to debug this crash issue starting from syslink. We should concentrate on your application code to figure out the issue. As I mentioned pls share the console logs and your application code.
