I wish to understand the following things. Kindly help in explaining them and also provide the references for the same:

1) What is data tracing support provided in AIF2? The user guide says that AIF2 DMA supports data trace. I need more details on data tracing feature of AIF2

2) What is generic TRT support in frame timing and synchronization?

Hi,

AIF2 support special trace feature and it captures incomming frame like logic analyzer works but this feature is only efficient for OBSAI user.

for CPRI, the captured frame is CPRI interleaved data and this needs to be de-interleaved by application. you can get more information about this feature from AIF2 UG.chapter 7.10.6

AIF2 doesn't have feature for generic TRT support. it might be a typo if you see it in the UG. please ignore that. however our Radio timer is fully enough to support any general frame timing and sync.

In AIF2 UG, it is given that AIF2 supports 15 bit I and 15 bit Q in AxC mode for LTE in CPRI.

I wish to transfer samples of 16 bit I and 16 bit Q. Is it possible?

Yes, it is possible to transfer 16 IQ samples with one less number of AxC.
