M3 Source Needed - 1080i50 support

Hello,

In our application we need to support 1080i50 from YbYcYr on our DM8148 platform . According to previous forum entries it is not possible to work with v4l2 so we need OMX solution. Current M3 firmware doesn't support 50Hz so we need to modify M3 source code. How we can get it? Is there a another solution to support this resolution?

In the datasheets and product information it is clearly said that it support up to 1080p60, so 50hz solutions should be included in the firmware, EZSDK etc.

Please let us know how to get the source code, or give an example solution with the current firmware.

Hi Hazar,

why don't you use sysfs entries to programming VENC? Using these entries, you can program any mode you require. You could program 1080p50 by providing correct timing information and pixel clock. Please go through user guide to get more idea about these sysfs entries.

Hi Brijesh,

We are planning to create a loopthrough application from RGB intput to HDMI output, there for we need to control the TVP7002, I will check the sysfs for control the TVP7002, however don't I have to use the CTRL component in a omx application to control the TVP and display?

Hi,

Oh, i thought you want to display at 1080p50, for display, there are sysfs attiributes to set the mode.. For capture from TVP7002, you will have to modify TVP7002 driver, I am not sure how this is done in OMX.
