Memory access timing

Actually, it is not possible to answer this question in a straight forward manner, because the time difference between internal memory & external memory access which truly depends on the actual code size, how many threads running on the actual project , interrupts and many factors involved in it.

In general, i shall suggest you to calculate the CPU cycle time taken for the particular code section mapped to memory sections in the linker command file (.cmd file). Also, you shall map the same code section to both internal memory & external memory sections (RAM) seperately in the linker command file and execute the code seperately. You will able to calculate the no. of CPU cycle time taken for the same code section in both the cases (mapped to internal & external memory). By this, we shall find the time difference of CPU cycles in both the cases mapped for the same code section.
