Keystone II and Keystone I compatibility

Hi,

I would like to ask when the information regarding pinout and technical haracteristics of new Keystone II family will be available? At this moments TI website says that packaging is still TBD (To Be Defined).

I was also wondering if there will be any backward compatibility in pinout between Keystone I family and Keystone II?

Kind regards

Piotr Zdunek

  • Piotr,

Which devices are you referring to specifically?  And have you looked in the Data Manuals for the Pinout and Mechanical Drawings, as that is where the pinout and mechnaical drawings reside.

There were many Keystone I devices, and while some subsets of them had common pin outs (C6678/74/72/71 was one example) this did not have the same pinouts as other devices in the Keystone I family such as C6657/55/54 or C6670.  Keystone II devices will have other sets of IPs and will not be pinout compatible with any of the Keystone I devices.

    Best Regards,

    Chad
