The keystone SPI module contains a software reset bit in the SPIGCR0 thta is used to reset the SPI module. Is there a min time requirement between setting SPIGCR0.RESET to 0 and then setting SPIGCR0.RESET back to 1 ? If there is, what's the minimum time?

Hello Ganz,

There is no minimum time requirement between setting SPIGCR0.RESET to 0 and then setting SPIGCR0.RESET back to 1. The SPI module software reset (RESET) bit in the SPI global control register 0 (SPIGCR0) is used to reset the SPI module. As a result of a reset, the SPI module register values go to their reset state. The RESET bit must be set before any operation on the SPI is done.

Thanks for the response. I asked the question because in the pdk_C6657_1_1_2_6 SPI driver there is a delay between setting SPIGCR0.RESET to 0 and then setting SPIGCR0.RESET back to 1 and I don't know what it's for.
