inquiry about AM335x Starter Kit Schematics

Hi,

I downloaded 2 schematics, pdf & dsn formats from below link for the AM335x starter kit.

Below link has data for rev. 1.2B of the AM335x starter kit.

By the way, 2 files have diffent information. Please see followings.

Please let me know what file format is valid.

Hi Devin,

Use the .dsn file. You can double-check it against the BOM and PCB file, but this should be the correct one.

Hi Biser,

I think the BOM list is more older(its update data is 2012 but pdf&dsn is 2013).

I think it should be updated.

Could you please chech one more thing? Below is the ddr3 of starter kit ref. schematic(1.2B).

As yon can see, DDR_D3 is linked to DQ0(E3) of DDR3. I think it's wrong.

It will be wrong? should we connect DDR_D0 to DQ0 of DDR3?

Also, now I have TMDSSK3358_3H0009_REV1_2B_SCH.pdf. is it the latest version?

I understand how this may be confusing, however, it will not affect results. Often I have seen this type of connection to support an easier route of the nets from the processor to the memory.

However, one does not need to be very careful to ensure that the connections maintain consistency within the byte lane. Meaning, if one is to manipulate the connections of D0 through D7, one must stay within that byte lane. For example, you can not connect D8 to D0. This would cross a byte lane.
