OLinuXino-MAXI Compatibility with TI Software

I am considering purchasing an OLinuXino-MAXI single-board computer with the Linux operating system. Does anyone know if it is compatible with CCS and IAR Kick start and also Control Suite?

My intended purpose will be instrumentation and servo motor control. My host operating systems are Windows 7 Pro 32 and XP Pro 32.

Is there a Texas Instruments equivalent to this device?

  • The OLinuXino-MAXI board uses a FreeScale Semiconductor processor. The CCS license contains the following restriction:

Use of any software application generated, analyzed or debugged using the Licensed Materials on processing devices manufactured by or for an entity other than TI is a material breach of this Agreement. Use of the Licensed Materials to assist in the design, development or verification of a device not manufactured by or for TI is a material breach of this Agreement. Use of the Licensed Materials to generate, analyze or debug applications for use with processing devices other than those manufactured by or for TI is a material breach of this Agreement.

Therefore, use of CCS with such a board is probably against the terms of the license (but I am not a lawer...)

  • This is why I think they should open hunting season on lawyers :(!! I guess the answer to my question is to stick to TI products and software.

I hate having multiple devices and software that can’t get along with each other.
