Power Consumption of C6672

I need to reduce power consumption of c6672. I would like to work with clock less than 800MHz (For example 400MHz). The Excel spreadsheet doesn't give me to set the processor frequency less than 800MHz. How can I estimate power consumption for lower frequency? What is a lower frequency I can work?

    Alexander,

    We have characterized the device for power estimation within the limits that are used in the spreadsheet. We cannot make any specific estimates for you outside of that range. Of course, the power will go down some, but linearity may not apply.

    Can you consider the C6657 as a lower power option to the C6672? It does not have the pin-compatibility with the 4 and 8 core devices and it does not have the EMIF16, but it does have many of the same features and will require less power under the same operating environment.
