DM368 Throughput Data?

Hi Biser,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I'm thinking another way below.
So, could you please advise me if I can transfer 272Mpixel per second to PC via DM368 USB, if you have any?

  +--------+      +-------------+                 +-------------+      +----+
  | CMOS   | (*1) | SN65LVDS324 | 8-to-16-bit Raw | DM368       | (*3) | PC |
  | Image  |----->|             |---------------->|         USB |----->|    |
  | Sensor | (*2) |             | Vsync/Hsync     |             |      |    |
  |        |      |             |---------------->|             |      |    |
  |        |      |             | Clock           |             |      |    |
  |        |      |             |---------------->| (for IPIPE) |      |    |
  +--------+      +-------------+                 +-------------+      +----+

   (*1) 16Mpixel@17fps
   (*2) Sub LVDS I/F
   (*3) Expected over 300Mbps

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Best regards,

  • Hi J-breeze,

    If you are transmitting raw stream (YUV) then its not possible as USB 2.0 has only a theoretical bandwidth of 480mbps. If it is encoded stream then it is possible. But I don't think the encoder of DM36x can encode the rate you need.
