Problem with CCS5.4 and BIOS 5.41.13.42

Hi,

I have just done a Update to CCS 5.4 and to XDCTools 3.25.00.48

Now when I want to compile my project which is based on DSP/BIOS 5.41.13.42 I get the following error:

"Could not find C:\ti\xdctools_3_25_00_48\tconf"

When I look in this folder the tconf.exe is not present. I already have reinstalled both BIOS and XDCTools, but nothing has changed.

Any ideas how to solve this problem? Moving to BIOS DSP/BIOS 5.42.X.X is not an option because we still need support for CCS3.x

Fabian,
support for DSP/BIOS 5 was removed from XDCtools 3.25. Here is the relevant part of the release notes: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/rtsc/3_25_00_48/exports/xdctools_3_25_00_48_release_notes.html#Compatibility.

You'll have to install XDCtools 3.24 and use it for your DSP/BIOS 5 projects. After you install XDCtools 3.24, you may need to uninstall XDCtools 3.25 because DSP/BIOS will try to use the newest version of XDCtools that it can find.

I assume there is no way to achieve this without uninstalling XDCtools 3.25?

Fabian,
thanks for asking that question, I wouldn't notice otherwise that I gave you a misleading answer. You do not need to uninstall 3.25, you just have to go to Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->RTSC->Products, and remove XDCtools 3.25 from the list of the products.
