Hi.

I'd want to boot from USB0 of AM335x EVM,
Not running.

Because you contact the situation, Could you tell me the procedure and setting?

Also, Could you tell me also necessary settings (PC) side Host?

Status:
1) TI-EVM Boot-Switch
Dip switch # 1 2 3 4 5
Position ON ON OFF ON OFF

Connect to HostPC (Linux) the USB cable

Without installing an SD card, TI-EVM power ON

HostPC in (Linux) on the device name "Texas Instruments SUBARCTIC"
To detect, but not by loads the boot image file is unable to boot.

※ dhcp server and tftp is already started HostPC in (Linux) on.
The store has been the boot image file to the specified folder of tftp server

This was fixed in AM335x PG2.x (thus needing Linux SDK05.06.00.00).

Just to prove USB boot works, attached screenshot shows PG2.x AM335x EVM after USB RNDIS boot which I tested with u-boot-spl.bin (PSP05.06.00.00 on the console) on WinXP with tftpd32.exe. I am using WinXP and connected the laptop to a local Belkin router (not connected to a corporate network. You'll get in trouble with your IT Dept if it is since tftpd32.exe can act as a DHCP server and giving out rouge IP addresses).

But this only does SPL. The right way to boot MLO/SPL, u-boot, uImage is to use Linux DHCP/TFTP server for u-boot. And it is well described in the u-boot package at doc/am335x.net-spl/README (but I have never actually tried, though much better Linux progammers than me have).
