TMS320VC5416 cold perturbation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5416

Hello,

I use DSP TMS320VC5416 for audio applications on my board.

However, I notice some noise in the speaker exit but only during cold tests (-30°C). During these perturbations, I also notice that CLKOUT and BCLKX from the DSP remain unstable. The input clocks are OK instead.

In ambient temperature, it works perfectly.

Besides, this random phenomenon appears only during few seconds. I suppose the internal PLL of the DSP is unlocked this moment.

My questions:

- Are some configurations (HW or SW) of the PPL not recommended?

- Is the internal PLL powered by 3V3 power supply?

- What kind of filtering is possible in lines power of the DSP to avoid PLL unlock?

Best Regards,

Mickaël
