How to change resolution dymanically when useing encoder link in DVRRRDK 04.00.00.03

Hi,guys

We use DVRRDK 04.00.00.03 for our develop, hardware platform is EVM8168.

Release Summary shows encoder link support changing parameters dynamic: Bitrate, I/P Gop, froce IDR frame,

frame rate, Rate Control Algorithm(VBR/CBR/CVBR),QP, resolution

However from encLink's source code, we cann't find how to set resolution, P Gop.

By the way, is it supported to change bFrameInterval，width，height dymanically？

Kindly look at Venc_setDynamicParam() API, implemented in dvr_rdk\mcfw\src_linux\mcfw_api\ti_venc.c It supports dynamic change of parameters you have metioned.

I am using DVRRDK3.0 with DM8168EVM.

In Venc_setDynamicParam() API, there is no place to modify resolution.

And how can I able to change resolution dynamically in encoder link?

I look at Venc_setDynamicParam() API which implemented in dvr_rdk\mcfw\src_linux\mcfw_api\ti_venc.c,

it support :

VENC_IPRATIO, /**< Get/Set Intra-frame interval */

VENC_RCALG,/**< Get/Set Rate Control Algo */

VENC_QPVAL_P,/**< Get/Set QP for I-frame */

VENC_SNAPSHOT,/**< Get JPEG snapshot */

VENC_VBRDURATION,/**< Set VBRDuration param of CVBR */

VENC_ROI,/**< Get/Set ROI parameters */

However, there is no resolution, bFrameInterval, width, height params .

B Frame support is not available in 4.00.00.03 release. Only IPPP sequence is supported.

Dynamic change of height / width is automatically handled based on incoming frames info.

Yes & dynamic resolution at frame level will be handled by encoder link (cannot be greater than create time resolution)

It means that its encoder link has some parameters(such as video image width and height) for changing encoder resolution dynamic???

example: captrue(1080p) --> enc (720p)

To get capture(1080p) --> enc (720p) there should be scaling in between. Any dynamic change in enc input frames resolution will be handled by encoder.

You can refer capture dynamic resolution change which demonstates this scenario in capture settings in standard dvr rdk demos.
