DM365 + cellular

Customer wishes to design an IP Camera based on TI DM3xx silicon. Camera will be remote. Camera will transfer data via a cellular network. What assistance can TI offer in the area of potential RF interference? How susceptible is the DM3xx to RF/cellular noise? How robust is the DM3xx? We see 2.4Ghz WiFi solutions next to DM3xx. Has anyone put a cellular radio next to the DM3xx? Are there any DM3xx Cellular IP Camera's in the market today?

Thanks!

  • Amy,

TI targets wired IP connection to DM3xx camera systems.  Any wireless connectivity implementations have been done without TI involvement.  To pursue customizations of this sort I recommend you contact our IP Camera partner, Appro who can provide customization services for you customer.  You can see current IP Camera offerings at www.ti.com/ipcamera.

    Regards.

  • Hello,

As said above, please start by ordering the IP Camera kit from Appro.

You will get all the software, utils, hardware details, all documents etc

Please ask for Release version v5.1 as this has wifi support using DM368.

This is supported currently on DM368 based Reference design kit, based on the sensor that is needed please order the kit

Also, MT5 (MT9P031 ) is the default sensor used for this

Let us know if you need more details

    Regards,
