Hi,

I'm using Spectrum Digital EVM for OMAP-L137. The PSP version is DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.14

I'm trying to boot Linux kernel from SPI flash by following the wiki page:

When I type the command "sf probe 0" on u-boot prompt, it shows "Fail to initialize SPI flash at 0:0"

I have set the boot switch(sw2) 7,2,1,0,3 as OFF,ON,OFF,ON,OFF.

My EVM is not connect to a network with a DHCP server, so I set ip = off.

Please help me with it, thank you!

Hi,

Which version of the board are you using ?, Did the board come to you with preflashed image of SPI boot mode

or did you flash the uboot image onto it ?

sfh_OMAP-L137.exe -spiflash_dsp <DSP UBL AIS file> <ARM UBL binary file> <u-boot binary file>

Latest SPI Writer & u-boot:

Please program the latest SPI supported u-boot.bin on the target EVM. There's an updated version of SPI writer and u-boot (for the same release that comes with the EVM) for the new SPI flash. They are located at the SDI site for the OMAP-L137 EVM http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/evmomapl137/revg/
