hi,

i am using dm8168 , dvrrdk 3.0. and i use demo vcap_vdis . but videoDecoderDriver is not tvp5158,.and use ourselves.

i set parameters as follows:  and use 2 vip instances ,vip0 port a, vip1 porta . ..  and each vip is configured to 16bits

now ,when i run this demo, we can only see one picture on screen and never changed . i dont know why ,

sometimes if we pull out hdmi input and then plug in , the pitcture on screen may be changed ,but also only one piture can show.

but when we stop this demo ,and exit demo, then we restart demo and restart vcap_vdis , we can see another piture, which  is now captured.but still never changed.

    it seems dei error? reject frams?

  • DEI expects input to be E O E O fields. When doing progressive capture you will get only even fields so DEI will reject all frames.

    You should have DEI in bypass mode when you use Progressive capture . Note that DEI bypass has a performance issue that is resolved in RDK 3.5 and above so if you want to use DEI in bypass mode you should migrate to RDK 4.0.

    Another option is to not use DEI link and use scaler instead.
