Hi,

How can I toggle the gpmc_oen_ren? I couldn't find anything in the configurations that would change that.

Hi Jack,

This signal is controlled by GPMC hardware, It goes active during a read operation on the GPMC. If you want to toggle this pin by software you need to pinmux it as a GPIO.

Hi Biser,

The issue that I have is that I am trying to use the read line for an external device with a FIFO. But because this is burst read, I need to toggle the read line, but it has to be toggling with a steady period. If I change it simply in software, is there a way from me to control the frequency at which the pin toggles.

Hi Jack,

I understand now. I don't think that it will be possible to toggle this line as GPIO and achieve successful GPMC reads. Maybe you should think of some external logic to combine the GPMC_OE with the GPMC_CLK, which is output from the AM335X during synchronous reads.
