Hello Manuel

I have a Huawei EM680 Gobi 3000 3G modem. When I connect it to the miniPcie connector in the tab, I get debug message of a new USB device detected, the vendor and product id and manufacturer name.

I have been searching the internet for information for quite some time. As I am new to the platform a little head-start would be great. If anyone has tried something similar already, please let me know.

I confused the post, the modification I found was for Blaze not for Blaze Tablet, then it is better to try Boyko's suggestion.

I went through the post and compiled my kernel according to the mentioned config. But still the device does not get recognized as ttyUSB. Maybe an issue with drivers for this device.

Do you want me to post the exact debug messages vendor and product ID's? I am still doing some digging, and the manufacturer has not been of any help.

Also, I the page for getting usb_modeswitch has also been updated with sources only. Any Idea where I  can get a precompiled usb_modeswitch for 4470? Maybe the one which I compiled with arm-none-gnueabi is an issue.

My boot log as well as debug log when the device is physically removed and connected to miniPcie slot. I have connected and disconnected it a few times.

It goes something like this:

I tried my board with Huawei e173 which is a USB dongle and did stuck at the same place as you did.

Do you have any reply by the manufacturer about driver specifics?

Hi Boyko,

Sorry about the delay, was busy with some other things so haven't been working on it since some time. Have to get video streaming working on Android and blaze tablet, you know of any good open source media sharing servers?

I tried to contact the Manufacturer via e-mail but haven't received any reply from them till now. I had found some API's related to Gobi 3000 modems but haven't gone through those in detail.

I shall share them with you. Do let me know if you manage to make any progress.

Hi Rahul,

about your video stream test, did you try to use XBMC?

Can you output the log of netcfg on your device to see if actualy there is some kind of interface  appeared.
