1080i display in openMax

Hi All,

I am working with TI8168 and EZSDK 5.05.
According to the OMX spec 1080i display should be supported by changing the parameter named eDispVencMode to OMX_DC_MODE_1080I_60 in OMX.TI.VPSSM3.VFDC.
I have tried that in OMX example capture_encode but when the OMX display component is changing to state execute the example is giving the error

display control state execute
got event*** unrecoverable error: OMX_ErrorBadParameter (0x80001005)

Can anyone please advice?

Hello,

What is the EZSDK version that you are using here? Is it 5.05.01 or 5.05.02? Also what is the PG rev ?

Did you change the display resolution to 1080i60?

Means that one or more input parameters were not valid.

Could you check :

driverId.eDispVencMode = OMX_DC_MODE_1080I_60

Thanks for your replay, i am using EZSDK ver 5.05.01, I don't know what is GP rev, can you please explain?

This is exactly what i have done, I have changed driverId.eDispVencMode = OMX_DC_MODE_1080I_60;

Hello,

Could you attach the debug log, please.

run ./loggerSMDump.out 0x9e400000 0x100000 all

This is avilable at /usr/share/ti/ti-uia folder in filesystem.

Also try to change the mode on the VENC:

My problem was that i was not setting the VENC to 1080i60.
It is working ok.
