Trans-coding use case with DM814x using EzSDK

Hi,

We are using EzSDK5.05.01.04 (ezsdk_dm814x-evm_5_05_01_04). I know DM814x has only 1 HDVICP2 core it can encode/decode up to single full HD (1080p60) encode/decode at a time. So based on that what i understood is it can encode two 720p60.

So i am interested in 720p resolution and 60 fps. If it is not feasible, then let me know which resolution and at what frame-rate trans-coding is feasible with the DM814x using EzSDK with version mentioned above.

Hello,

HDVICP is scalable in terms of resolutions and channels supported, so for example one HDVICP2 module  could support 1x 1080p60 or 2x 1080p30 or 4x 720p30 or 10x SD h.264 encodes  or decodes.

Does this mean, I can decode 720p60 H.264 encoded stream and again encode the decoded video to MPEG4 (or H.263) and vice-verse (or any 1 combinations of all these compression formats)?

Please confirm. And it will be great help, if you can provide any demo code (or help us to create such demo) in EzSDK that does similar kind of use-case.

There is no demo in EZSDK for trans-code. You could try to test it via gstreamer.
