ULP C55xx: SPI slave support

Hi all,

our customer likes the ULP number of the C5504 and derivative devices

Active Power Mode

•  75% DMAC + 25% ADD typical data
•  0.15mW/MHz @ 1.05V, 0.22mW/MHz @1.3V

Standby Power Modes

•  With SARAM retention mode
•  0.15mW @ 1.05V, 0.28mW @ 1.3V
•  With DARAM retention mode
•  0.23mW @ 1.05V, 0.40mW @ 1.3V
•  With SARAM and DARAM active mode
•  0.26mW @ 1.05V, 0.44mW @ 1.3V

However these devices don't support the SPI slave function, it only has a SPI master support.

Are there any workarounds for this, to get the SPI slave?
Should the customer think about the C5517/37, which has a MCSPI with SPI slave function? What would be the impact to the Active and Standby Power for the C5517/37?

Thanks,
--Gunter
