Starter kit and two RGMII ports

Could you be so kind to tell me which I/O voltage  is used for two RGMII interfaces connected to AR8031

in AM335X starter kit?

We are making design similar with Starter kit where all I/O is 3V3.

From data sheet of AR8031, I concluded that RGMII I/O is 1.5V, 1V8,or 2V5, but this 2V5 is also 3V3 compatible so

I am think that there is not issues about compatibility with my future board, but  anyway I prefer here your opinion.

Regards

  • AM335X Datasheet, Rev.F, Table 2-7 shows the power domain to which each I/O pin is connected. The AM335X I/O cells work at 1.8V or 3.3V, they are not 2.5V compatible. On the Starter Kit VDDSHV1 is powered from 1.8V supply, VDDSHV[2:6] are on 3.3V rails.
  • It is strange, because AR8031 power supply schema is completely equivalent for 2V5/3V3 interface

    (For 1V5,1V8 is different).

It is true that AM335X doesn't support 2V5, but for 3V3 LVCMOS Vinhmin = 2V what perfectly suits for

connecting  to some 2V5 peripheral, which is at it's input side 3V3 tolerant.

I really expected that in Starter kit RGMII operates at 3V3.
