6670LE uart and boot

Now I am really wonder how to use the Three Pin series line.  If I want to print  something through uart, I must use mini usb line ,and connet to "USB mini-B for XDS100"  

When I connect Three pin series line to "On-Board RS-232 Serial Port", there is no response.   Why????

 

Another,  when I boot from Nand mode, always  show " request DHCP ....  Time out ".

I really hurt this, Who can tell me how to do ?    Thanks!
