Three Keystone 66AK2H12 Questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 66AK2H12, 66AK2H06

Looking for specific answers for three 66AK2H12 questions:

  • What are the “XFI” and “AIF” interfaces?  The pin definitions in the datasheet show that they are reserved.  If they are reserved, do I need to terminate them in any way?
  • Where can I get information on the Sync Event Timer (IEEE1588)?
  • What technology is used on the 66AK2H12 PCIe clock pins?  LVDS?  HCSL?  Furthermore, where are the pin technologies defined for this part?  Datasheet?

Been searching the web for answers on these but not very successful.

Thanks for the help - Bruce

  • Bruce,

There is no XFI or AIF interface on 66AK2H12.  And I can find no references in the Data Manual that is online.

The Data Manual can be found on the 66AK2H12 <- Product Page.

    Best Regards,
    Chad

  • Bruce,

The 66AK2H06/12 devices do not contain XFI or AIF or USIM interfaces.  The EVM for the 66AK2H06/12 devices supports a superset of interfaces since we have a family of devices that are pin compatible.  That is why the EVM and schematic contains interfaces that are not available on the 66AK2H06/12 devices.

The PCIe clock input must be differential.  It is compatible with LVCMOS, LVPECL and HCSL since it is an AC-coupled interface.
