How to support OMAPL138 on DSPLink 1.62

Questions:

dsplink_1_62_02 ( from TI ) can't be configured as OMAPL138 platform. How to support it? Is it easy?

This platform can connect to a DM6437 device via VLYNQ

Jacinto SoC Version 2 - C64P DSP interfaced directly to ARM9
This platform does not support multi DSP scenario
ID-->DRX45X
DRX45X SoC version 1 - C64P DSP interfaced directly to ARM9
This platform can connect to a DM6437 device via VLYNQ
Provided:
Example: --platform=DAVINCI or --platform=<ID> or --help for all options

Background

I'm running QNX on ARM core on OMAPL138 platform. And QNX only provide DSPLink 1.62 package.

BuildNumber = 20110191038
PatchNum = 2275
Name = DSPLINK-162
Baseline = 640

In this package, it doesn't include any DSP side code. So I downloaded the version. 1.62.02 to build, with not support error above.

It supports the OMAP-L138 platform.

Please refer the release notes for more details.

As per the release notes select the platform as: OMAPL1XX or DA8XX.

TI hasn't ported or validated DSPLink on an OMAP-L138 running QNX. All DSPLink development for that device has been done running Linux. Refer below e2e thread.

I just saw there is a SysLink. Does SysLink support QNX and OMAPL138 better and will be the main tools for Inter Process communication?

Yes. You shall use syslink. Syslink has support to OMAP-L138 (Linux) not to QNX.

But syslink requires the SYS BIOS on DSP side.

Hi Rajasekaran,

For OMAPL138 support of 1.62.02. I also saw the release user manual saying that. But not sure why i can't configure the platform=OMAPL1XX when I call DSPLinkCfg?

Hi Rajasekaran,

Seems that we have to use SYS/BIOS where SYSNLink has to be selected. So changed to use SYS/LINK. I raised another case about SYSLink support for QNX on OMAPL138 and seem it's not supported according to SYSLink release notes and my test. What Can i do?
