Is transcoding possible on dm368

Hi,

Is it possible to transcode(decode and encode at a time) on dm368 board. If it is possible what are the command line arguments and also how many channels it can transcode if (i)all are qvga (ii) all are vga (iii)all are hd720 (iv) different resolutions?

Hi,

Which software you are using? If you are using DVSDK, you can find demo for encode + decode in demos directory. It also has userguide to run the demos.

Hi,

I am using the dvsdk-4_02_00_06 sdk. So, can u tell how to encode and decode at a time audio and video using the gst-launch command line with dmaienc and dmaidec plugins. Also how many encode+decode can be done on the dm368 at a time with the following requirements(both audio and video)

(a)qvga

(b)vga

(c)hd720

Sorry delayed reply.

one 1280x720 encode+decode with audio possible on DM368. You need to set enQuality=2 for encoder and closedLoopmode = 1 for decoder. 2 channel of VGA is also possible.

I am not expert in gstreamer, You need to raise new query for that.
