Enable LDC to support 1080P on DM36xIPNC_5.1.0

Hi all,

My codebase is DM36xIPNC_5.1.0.

I want to use 1080P+QVGA usecase to enable LDC to observe the encode performance. Can anyone give me some hints how to modify it?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi all,

Can anyone give me some comments? Or just explain why enable LDC that consumes the encode performance.

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hi OC,

Once you are in GUI you Could enable LDC using the options given in Right hand side of the screen (Example tab) where the default is NONE.
You can select LDC demo with the resolution you want to test. By default the resolution is D1.

You can check the option Display all streams, to see the streams where one will show WITH LDC ON other WITH LDC OFF.

You can observe the effect clearly if you focus your camera to edges (The straight lines will be shown as curve with LDC off).

For more info on this please refer Chapter-3, Running IPNC Application in User Guide provided with the RDK.

  • Hello Prashanth,
I was led to understand that LDC is not available for the DMx IPNC cameras and only for OMAP based solutions.
Are you talking about Lens Distortion Correction?
We have NDA with TI and are working on DM8127. We only received the DCC-lite without LDC. When we requested the LDC package, we were told that it's only sold to OMAP clients and an NDA is not enough.
Do you have info about this?
    Thanks,
    Mechi
  • Hi Mechi,

    Sorry for delayed response.

Sorry I don't have much info about the LDC in DMx-IPNC. May be your local FAE is the right person to get more info on this.
