What's happen? 

I got the message as below:

  • The message indicates you are an index to SharedRegion_isCacheEnabled which is more than the number of sharedRegions. It basically means an invalid SharedRegion pointer was passed .When do you get this error. Share the full console logs.

    Thanks for quickly reply.

    I tried to add show id and SharedRegion_module->cfg.numEntries.

    I don't why the id is 65535 (0xFFFF).

    My link is capture-->dei-->sclr-->IpcFrameOutVpss-->IpcFrameInHost-->IpcFrameOutHost-->IpcFrameInVpss-->nsf-->enc

    My application has to decide if video frame need to be encoded. If not, it will be dropped.

    So I use IPCFrameOut/In to handle this behavior.

    Please advise me how to solve this issue.

  • Your code looks wrong. You are sending the frames to VPSS and also putting the frames back to Vcap_putEmpty frames.I am not sure if you are correctly removing frames that you send to NSF from the bufList.Which API call is crashing ?For some reason from backtrace it looks like MessageQ_get on A8 is crashing which is unrelated to the changes you have done.Have you also made any changes to send msgs to A8 from M3 of DSP ? Anyhow if you want to selectively enable encoding you don't need such a complex chain. You can use a select link to enable/disable data flow to encode dynamically

    All links are original design in DVR RDK 3.50 except capture link. 

    How can I know which link makes this crashing?

    I don't use select link to implement our application.

    I have to decide which frame can be sent to encoder or not.

    But select link cannot report current frame number, so I need to export frame to A8. 

    or I have to add a link for implement this function.

  • First fix the wrong API usegase I mentioned. Next check which API call is crashing .Then put prints inside the corresponding ipcFramesOutHLOS/ipcFramesInHLOS to track why invalid SrPtr is getting passed.If issue is consistently occurring it should be easy to debug. Share you app code for Vcap_ipcFrameSendToVPSS function
