Hello All,

I would like to know how to uninstall mvpro v4.0.1, DVSDK and lsp1.20 are from the host safely as I am planning to install mvpro5 and lsp2.0 for dm365.

Could you someone provide some help on this.

Thanks in advance.

  • Could you try out the GIT releases that support DM365 platform they are on the latest kernel tree?  Is there any specific reasons for evaluating MvPro 5.0 based solution.

  • Hello Swami,

We purchased dm365 EVM and the associated DVD contains mvpro5.0 and would like to take it as starting point.

I am not completely familiar with GIT as of now and I thought installing from the DVD would be easier.

  • Within Linux, rm -r does it for each of the directories that contains those packages.

  • As brandon suggested, there is no formal uninstaller because the installation procedure does not modify any of the system fies (analogous to windows registry); the installation simply uncompresses software into directories user specifies.. it is the user that modifies PATH variable and /etc/exports file to point to corresponding installation directories.  You can have multipole versions of DVSDKs co-exist and swith between them by simply adjusting your PATH and /etc/exports file (I do this all the time).  However, if you know you will never need MV Pro 4.0 based software again or need the space, you can simply remove the directories per Brandon's suggestion (rm -rf <dir-name>)

  • Thank you all for the replies.

I think I have space so I will maintain multiple versions of DVSDKs for now.
