MAD booting from nand

hi,

i need help in booting MAD application form NAND of 6678LE EVM.

i'm able to load (combined binary) from CCS and serial prints are as expected. all 8 cores are running from ccs.

i have used bypass prelink mode and followed the mad user guide in ti.wiki

i need help to flashing it to the nand and help with the IBL changes so that i can boot application from flash itself.

Hi Prateek,

We do provide a NAND booting example in the MCSDK . you can find this example under MCSDK_INSTALL_DIR/tools\boot_loader/examples/i2c/NAND. The description of this example can be found in the MCSDK user guide here:

The build and flashing instructions for the example are provided in the ReadMe.txt document included in the docs folder of the NAND example. The MCSDK also provide a NAND Writer that you can use to flash the image on the NAND over JTAG.

hi Rahul,

i'm using a custom board having a c6678 silicon rev 2.0 processor.

1) i have NOR(32MB) and NAND (128MB ) flash connected to emif interface CE0 and CE1 respectiveley.

how to boot an applcation directly from these without using IBL ie avoid i2c route.

2 ) can i boot a MAD application directly from the NAND flash
