Metadata via VFDC to VOUT

Hi,

How can I add metadata to the data going out over VOUT, specifically I want to add a timestamp, aspect ratio flag, frame dimensions and bit rate?

The OMX VFDC is configured to output YUV422 1080p video.

Is there a way to add an additional line in the luminance that could be used for storing metadata?

Can I get access to the buffer to re-write the first line in the luninance as metadata?

Is there a better or simpler option?

Steven,

What is your target interface that you are connecting to? You can manage the settings using EDID information if you are using a regular monitor.

If you depict your hardware interfaces as a block diagram it will be easy to understand your use case, and then we can suggest something.

The you can pass metadata through BT656 interface. I'm not really sure about parallel interfaces supporting this.
