Support Driver

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, STARTERWARE-DSPARM, OMAP-L138, SYSBIOS

Dear Friends,

I think that I will develop OMAPL138 Processor with Sys/Bios6.

Does Sys/Bios6 support drivers for OMAPL138 peripherals such as LCD,LED,ether,USB, and so on.

Best Regards,

nagano

  • Hi Nagano,

You can use NDK for building a network enabled SYS/BIOS app. You will need NSP package to get the ethernet driver. NDK/NSP is available for download here: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/ndk/index.html

You can use the starterware package to get the remaining drivers (includes drivers for LCD, USB, etc.) for your SYS/BIOS application. Starterware for OMAPL138 is available here: http://www.ti.com/tool/starterware-dsparm

Starterware is a no-OS standalone package and might require some effort to integrate with SYS/BIOS. Here's a link to a forum thread that talks about using starterware APIs in a SYS/BIOS application for OMAP-L138. It might be helpful: http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/omap_applications_processors/f/42/p/143557/523133.aspx#523133

    Best,

    Ashish

  • If you are developing for the OMAP-L138 device, you might want to start at the following page to see the software offering available:

http://www.ti.com/product/omap-l138 Take a look at the Software Section on the page.

If you are interested in using SysBios 6.0 and looking for some driver support, I'd recommend downloading the C6748 SysBios SDK .
