hi,

we are working on the OMAP4460 and we cant find the ordering part number for OMAP4460..

1. where can i find this correct ordering code?

2. Is this omap4460 has a built in DDR2 RAM when bought? and what are ordering code for this type?

On pg.400/401 under chapter 7 Package Characteristics

This is the closest to order code that I know.

Hi,

the OMAP4 has no build-in DDR2-RAM when bought. Memory will be installed using PoP-technology.

thank you for your reply and answering my question..

my other question is..

1. If we will buy an omap processor from TI..do they have also DDR2 available for their omap4 and if there is..

if we will buy,are they the ones who will install the DRR2 on the omap4?

2. if we will buy from other DDR2 supplier for omap4 like..do we need to send them bought omap4 to install DDR2 using POP technology

and pay for service offered?

Hi Enzoantonio,

the memory is normally installed during the soldering process of the CPU.

TI is not offering PoP-memory, you can use e.g. an Elpida memory chip, which is made to match the OMAP4.

If your EMS cannot solder PoP-memory, you can use CPU modules with pre-installed memory like the OMAP4 AP module from Jorjin (comes with OMAP4460/70, 1 or 2 GByte DDR2-RAM and TWL6032).
