DM385 DDR3 interface

Hello,

I wish to know if only x16 bit DDR3 device can be used with upper 16 bits i.e. DQ[16] to 31..and other pins can be left unconnected with some termination either pull up or pull down. Please advise asap.

If you want to use the 16-bit DDR3 chip and mode, the chip needs to be connected tot he lower 16-bits.

Also in SDRAM configuration register you need to enable the NARROW_MODE (NM) bit.

Thanks for the quick response. However, is there any way we can use higher 16 bits by tweaking software at Uboot level.
