About MJPEG encode quality

Hello,

We are using DVR RDK 4.0 and we found that the image quality after MJPEG encoding is not good as we expected.

And I had searched the related post on forum, it said that I need to modify the targetbitrate and qpInit.

Here is my configuration to these two options:

Resolution: 1920x1080

targetBitRate: 1000*1000 (1Mbps)

qpInit: 2 (2~97, I choose 2, is it referred to the best quality?)

But I still see the obviously coding artifact, is there any parameter I can tune to further improve the quality?

From the stream analysis it was not possible to determine the bitrate and qp values. Pls print all the MJPEG encoder static and dynamic parameters in /dvr_rdk/mcfw/src_bios6/links_m3video/iva_enc/encLink_jpeg.c after your application has created the MJPEG encoder and encoding has started.

You should print all member values in

pChObj->algObj->u.jpegAlgIfObj.dynamicParams and pChObj->algObj.u.jpegAlgIfObj.staticParams. Refer encLink_h264.c for example code.
