can I connect the TCI6614EVM using XDS510 emulator?

hello,

I have a board of TCI6614EVM, and I want to connect the board by XDS510 USB emulator (spectrum digital) with a 14pin-60pin adptor because the XDS560v2 mezzanine board is lost. but it seems the emulator can not connect the board. I am sure the xds510 is ok and could connect another 6488EVM board. is there any special setting for using the xds510 emulator?

  • Lin,

TCI66xx devices are only supported through your local Field Applications Engineers (FAE.)  They are not supported on the forum.  Please contact your local FAE for direct support of TCI66xx devices.  If you do not know who your local FAE is, then please contact your local TI field sales person and they would be able to put you in touch with your local FAE.

That said, you may want to pose this question again as if it's a C66x device such as C6678 on the Code Composer Forum, I know it has the same emulation used from a HW standpoint.  To my knowledge they should work, but I know that some of the older XDS510 didn't have 5V/3.3V switching, and if it was 5V only then I don't think it would support our newer devices (I don't think it would have supported C6488 either, but I'm not 100% certain.)

    Best Regards,

    Chad
