Force PRD

Hi guys

I use a periodic PRD to update a software representation of a hardware state. Sometimes I know the hardware state has changed, and would like the software representation updated immediately. This easiest way to do this would be to force the PRD function to run immediately, after which it should continue scheduling periodic behaviour as before. Is there a way to force a PRD to run in this way?

Thanks

Leon
