AM37xx Advisory 1.113 - workaround -> TUSB2036?

Hello,

The proposed work around for advisory 1.113 is a USB hub chip.

From the Errata:

Advisory 1.113 USB HOST:
Impossible To Attach a FS Device To An EHCI Port - Handoff To OHCI Is Not Functional
Revision(s) Affected 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0

Workaround(s) Only attach FS devices to OHCI ports or use an HS hub to interface between EHCI ports
and LS/FS/HS devices.

If I only want to connect (and hotplug) USB 1.1 devices, would the TUSB2036 (without EEPROM) be a good choice?

No.

The upstream port of this hub is Full speed (12Mbps) rather than High speed (480 Mbps) so it will not work. You must use a High speed hub that has a transaction translator that converts High speed packets to Full speed or Low speed to allow support of these legacy USB devices.
