How to play DM6467's h.264 files?

Dear all.

I wish to play h.264 files, encoded by the DM6467 Codec Engine framework (for example, the «dust_1080i_30fps.264», supplied with DVSDK) by a standard Media Player. I tried the original VLC, Media Player Classic, еtс., but they don’t.

What's more, the GSpot utility says: "Rendering failed. DirectShow reported an error: 0x80040265 (unknown)".

What's the reason? And how may i play these files in a standard way (e.g. from Windows)?

In general the media files that are generated and used by DVSDK demos are raw streams, meaning most standard media players will not be able to handle them as they expect to see a container format. I started to read the article, but cannot understand where can i find the so-called "original "davinci effect" clips" that are referred to as to be in a QuickTime container format? I only deal with *.264 and *.m2v files (both in installed '1_40_00_11' and in dowloaded '2_00_00_22' versions), containing h.264 and MPEG-2 video data respectively, the latter directly playing by VLC and MPC, while the former - not.

So i suppose that "uncovering" "davinci effect" for h.264 files requires codecs procedure, different from that of explained in the article.

Hi, you can use mplayer with parameters to play the .264 files, such as: mplayer -fps 30 your_file_name .
