The problem about AER

I use AER_16_1_0_3 software to remover acoustic echo.CPu is C6748.But I meet some trouble with it.

When I disable AER,the speaker can play the voice from the far end and the microphone can pick up the voice and sent to the far end.But when I enable AER,the speaker can play the voice and the far end voice is very serious attenuation. The AER is running in hand free mode.In my code ,the bitfield_0 is 0x188f,the bitfield_1 is 0x01ce.

How can I do to save the problem. Thanks a lot.

  • Carmili,

    Acoustic Echo Remover(AER):
It is generated by the coupling between the speaker and the microphone of the same device or system.

Right now I do not have the AER software package for look into code. I can suggest you can try with the pre-build image.
    Operating mode:
When operating in hands-free configuration, the AER component modules provide for adequate loudness with
minimal echo occurrences and maximum full duplex performance.

Load and test the pre-built executables are available at
    <installation_root>\packages\ti\mas\aer\test\
    C64x+/C674x little endian COFF: lnkr\c64Ple\aertest_c64Ple.x64P
    C64x+/C674x little endian ELF: lnkr\ce64Ple\aertest_ce64Ple.xe64P

  • Thank you for your reply.

The pre-built executables can not to be used in my system, thank you all the same.

Does someone who have used the AER can help me?

  • Hi Carmili,

This is charan, even I have started working on AER  17_0_0_0 Hard float. And I am using it with a standard SIP client. The target board I am working on is sitara AM335x. The AER Demo (prebuilt binaries) has worked fine but when I integrate aer with my sip client it started misbehaving.

Misbehaviour 1: The sound Quality is not good

Misbehaviour 2: If I mute the far end then I can transmit the near-end data

Hope you have faced the second misbehaviour; would like to know how did you fixed it, if so please let me know

    Regards,

    G.Shricharan
