about the maxium data rate of C6655 uPP

Hi, all

      I have the following requirements:

1, want to connect ADC to C6655 directly;

2, ADC specification: 2 channel, 14bits, 100MHz sampling rate

      Can I connect ADC to C6655 uPP?  I'm not sure weather the max data rate of uPP can satisfy the requirement . The uPP user's guide has the following description: ".... I/O speed up to 75MHz with 8-16 bit data width with per channel....."

       would you please give me some suggestions?

    Hi Mosha, 

    The uPP can't support 100MHz sampling. This is an LVCMOS interface and the fastest it can operate is 75MHz. Most of the ADCs supporting 100MHz sampling use an LVDS data interface to support the faster speeds. You could use a programmable logic device to interface with the ADC and connect to the C6655 using a serdes interface such as SRIO.
