Compatible RapidIO 1.3 vs 2.1

I would like to know can I connect the C6457 and C6678 processors over protocol SRIO (C6457 (v1.3) and C6678 (v2.1)).

SRIO 2.1 is backwards compatible. The SRIO on C6457 will communicate w/ C6678.

The backward compatibility is defined by the RapidIO spec's and C6678 is compatible with 2.1.1 of the RapidIO Specifications.
