DM368 Power Estimation spreadsheet

I found the DM368 Power Estimation spreadsheet and I’m trying to adjust setting. There are some fields that are password protected and it seems as though nobody has the password. I looked on the TI E2E and found requests for it but never a reply.

The fields with the red triangles in the corners are the ones that appear to be protected. I followed the instructions for unprotecting the sheet but it needs a password to do so. The primary field I’m interested in changing is the frequency. I want to run the  part at 27MHz instead of 24MHz.

Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Hi Steve,

The password is TI internal only.  There isn't going to be a big difference in power consumption by using 27MHz vs 24MHz as the input to the crystal.

The important input to the XLS is the frequencies for each of the independent modules (i.e. ARM frequency, DDR, etc).  You can leave the xtal frequency at 24MHz, but adjust the other, larget modules frequencies accordingly and this would still be a good estimate.

  • Steve,

According to Limitation in the app note, pg 5 the data was only measured with 24 MHz.  I think the note in the CLKIN section is a typo, but need to double check with team.

Data in the spreadsheet is based off of measured data from lab setup.  So there probably isn't any data for other CLKIN settings.

    Regards.
