Using TPS65910 with AM335x (INT, SLEEP, RTC)

I have two clarification on the PMIC .

- On page 7 of SWCU093C, the sleep signal and INT signals are connected to GPIO1-9 and 8 respectively, Is there a particular reason for choosing this specific IO? Any problem if we assigned to other IO?

- We have chosen TPS65910A31A1, which is a high power mode device. We are planning to use the RTC in PMIC, If we use the low power mode device, will we be able to use the PMIC RTC without any constraints?

Thanks.

  • Hi Sebastian,

You can connect SLEEP and INT to other GPIO's. In fact I don't think these signals are currently used, at least in the GP EVM they are connected through 0Ohm resistors, which aren't mounted on the PCB.

The parts with VRTC low power mode in OFF state will provide sufficient power for the PMIC internal RTC to run properly.
