nand interface

hi,

i am using 8 bit micron nand.it has to be connected to gpmc through a fpga.since all the signals of gpmc and nand are same i m not sure whether fpga is  reaaly needed??

since i m new to this field please help me to proceed

    Hello Akash,

    I am not sure if this answers your question, but a few of our EVMs already have 8-bit nand interfaced to the AM335x through the GPMC.

    The General Purpose EVM has nand, and the BeagleBone can use nand if you have a memory expansion cape and a nand module (8-bit and 16-bit versions are available).  There are schematics available online for both the EVM and the BeagleBone, and our SDK has software support for nand on both of those platforms.
