For change the android splash screen you need to create bootanimation.zip and need to place into /system/media folder. 

Note: for  bootanimation.zip creation you need to split the animation as sequence of .JPEG and need to write script to play the *.jpeg files .

You can get the tools for create the bootanimation.zip in internet.

Can you try to create an .rle image and copy as /initlogo.rle.bak?

Then add the line

symlink /initlogo.rle.bak /initlogo.rle

on early-init section of init.rc

        I tried this procedure but its not working. i guess i made mistake in creating *.rle.bak from *.bmp image is there any correct procedure to create the .rle.bak image?

How to create initlogo.rle, i tried in Internet but i didnt get proper solution.

please refer suitable links for creating initlogo.rle.

I am using Beaglebone black with 7" capacitive touch screen (from Chipsee.com). resolution is 1024x800.
